Washington to Sell Venezuelan Oil at $45 per Barrel

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced that Washington is ready to sell Venezuelan oil at $45 per barrel, while Brent crude futures closed on Friday at $64.13 per barrel.اضافة اعلان

Reuters quoted Wright saying, “We can sell this oil today… we will sell it at $45 per barrel.”

He added that the United States keeps the proceeds from Venezuelan oil sales in accounts in Qatar owned by the U.S.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had pledged that oil received from Caracas would be sold at market prices.

According to Reuters, Brent crude futures closed at $64.13 per barrel on Friday.
