Oil prices rose at the start of Asian trading on Monday, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to extend the deadline for trade negotiations with the European Union. The move helped ease fears of potential U.S. tariffs that could negatively impact the global economy and reduce fuel demand.اضافة اعلان

According to Bloomberg, Brent crude futures climbed by 37 cents to reach $65.15 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose by 34 cents to $61.87 per barrel.

President Trump announced his approval to extend the trade negotiation deadline with the EU until July 9.

The OPEC+ alliance — which includes the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies — is scheduled to hold meetings next week. The meetings are expected to result in another production increase estimated at 411,000 barrels per day starting in July.
