Jordan’s national exports grew by 8.1% by the end of February 2025, reaching a value of 1.309 billion dinars, compared to 1.211 billion dinars for the same period last year.

According to the monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics on Wednesday regarding Jordan's foreign trade, total exports increased by 9.1% by the end of February, recording 1.449 billion dinars, compared to 1.323 billion dinars during the same period last year.
The value of re-exports reached 140 million dinars, marking a 19.7% increase compared to 117 million dinars during the same period of the previous year.
On the other hand, the value of the Kingdom's imports rose by 7.9% by February this year, amounting to 3.065 billion dinars compared to 2.840 billion dinars during the same period last year.
According to the report, Jordan’s trade balance deficit — the difference between the value of imports and total exports — increased by 6.9% by the end of February, reaching 1.616 billion dinars, compared to 1.512 billion dinars for the same period in 2024.
The coverage ratio of total exports to imports stood at 47% by the end of February, which is the same as the ratio recorded during the same period in 2024.
In February alone, total exports amounted to 747 million dinars, of which 675 million dinars were national exports and 72 million dinars were re-exports, while imports reached 1.442 billion dinars, resulting in a trade deficit of 695 million dinars for the month.
Compared to February 2024, total exports increased by 18.0%, national exports by 17.8%, and re-exports by 20.0%, while imports declined by 5.3%. Consequently, the monthly trade deficit dropped by 21.8% during February 2025.
The coverage ratio of total exports to imports rose to 52% in February 2025, compared to 42% during the same month of 2024 — an increase of 10 percentage points.
