Minister of Investment Dr. Tarek Abu Ghazaleh held bilateral talks on Saturday with the Minister of Investment and CEO of Indonesia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, Rosan Roeslani, on the sidelines of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s visit to the Republic of Indonesia.

The discussions, held in Jakarta, focused on prospects for enhancing investment cooperation between Jordan and Indonesia, particularly in the fields of mining, agriculture, and fertilizer manufacturing, as well as institutional partnership opportunities between the Jordan Investment Fund and the Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund.
Dr. Abu Ghazaleh emphasized that Jordan offers a stable and attractive investment environment, supported by modern legislation, tax and customs incentives, and streamlined procedures for establishing and operating businesses through a unified investment services platform.
He highlighted the most promising opportunities for both sides to build integrated economic partnerships aimed at regional and international markets, especially in mining, manufacturing, agriculture, and related supply chains.
The meeting also explored ways to enhance institutional cooperation between the Jordan Investment Fund and the Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund, agreeing to exchange best practices, share knowledge in governance, investment, and project management, and explore collaboration on economically viable joint projects.
The Indonesian minister expressed his country’s keen interest in expanding investment cooperation with Jordan, leveraging the Kingdom’s strategic location and business-friendly infrastructure, and confirmed his commitment to following up on priority joint initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and establishing direct communication channels between specialized technical teams, paving the way for identifying actionable investment projects that contribute to economic growth and sustainable job creation in both countries.
