The total value of payment transactions processed through the “eFAWATEERcom” system since the beginning of 2025 has risen to JD 11.57 billion, with 55.19 million transactions executed, according to a report issued by the Jordan Payment and Clearing Systems Company (JoPACC).

The September report showed an increase in the number of users over the past three months, reaching 4.9 million users in September — up by 0.9% compared to 4.85 million in August and 4.81 million in July.
Of the total 4.9 million users, 4.85 million are active users (99.1%), while 46.6 thousand are new users (0.9%). The system currently includes 652 billers offering 2,245 services.
During September, the system recorded 6.45 million transactions, marking a 2.8% decrease compared to 6.64 million in August and 6.58 million in July.
The telecommunications sector topped the list with 2.01 million transactions, followed by water and electricity (1.78 million), government services (1.28 million), e-wallet companies and payment providers (566 thousand), finance and financial services (307 thousand), education (247 thousand), transport and travel (59 thousand), trade and services (46 thousand), unions and organizations (34 thousand), and gas and energy (33 thousand).
Digital payments dominated activity in September, accounting for 5.24 million transactions (81.3%), compared to 1.21 million cash transactions (18.7%).
The total transaction value through eFAWATEERcom in September reached JD 1.4 billion, an increase of 9.4% compared to JD 1.28 billion in August, and the same total recorded in July.
Government services topped the list of payment categories by value in August, with JD 758 million, followed by wallet companies and payment providers (JD 309 million), education (JD 96 million), water and electricity (JD 91 million), finance and financial services (JD 51 million), telecommunications (JD 33 million), banks (JD 17 million), gas and energy (JD 14 million), trade and services (JD 14 million), and transport and travel (JD 6 million).
In terms of payment methods, digital payments in September totaled JD 1.09 billion (77.7%), compared to JD 311.4 million in cash payments (22.3%).
The report also indicated that the average transaction value through eFAWATEERcom in September rose to JD 217, compared to JD 192 in August and JD 212 in July.
