Honey Production in Jordan Rises by 28.6% Last Year

The quantity of honey produced in Jordan increased by 28.6% last year, reaching 418 tons compared to 325 tons in 2023.

According to the annual report from the Department of Statistics released Wednesday, pollen production also rose significantly to 7,624 kilograms, marking an 80.6% increase compared to 2023.اضافة اعلان

The report showed a 5.9% decrease in bee hive production last year compared to 2023, while queen bee production surged by 84% compared to the same year.

Bee colony numbers doubled, increasing by 110% from 40,217 colonies in 2023 to 84,442 colonies in 2024.

However, the average honey yield per colony dropped to 4.9 kilograms in 2024 from 8 kilograms in 2023, a decrease of 39%.
