Hassan added during the Cabinet meeting on Saturday: “The progress witnessed in Aqaba has been achieved thanks to the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, his efforts, and his outlook for Aqaba as a leading regional hub for tourism, development, investment, technological advancement, and as a living model of comprehensive development. It is also a focus of attention for His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.”

He continued: “Aqaba is a vital and central part of the Economic Modernization Vision. It is not only a tourist destination—despite its undeniable tourism importance—but also an economic lifeline for the Kingdom and a model for the future.”

Hassan went on to say: “Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, has been at the forefront of diplomatic and political efforts on the international stage to end the injustice faced by our brothers since the beginning of the war and from day one.”

He continued: “Over the past weeks and months, we have witnessed intensified Jordanian diplomatic efforts, particularly during the UN General Assembly meetings last week, which resulted in a historic and wide international recognition of the State of Palestine.”

He said: “Today, we are seeing growing levels of international support and global recognition of the State of Palestine, along with solidarity for the Palestinian people and their just cause. At the same time, we see Israel facing isolation and widespread rejection of its brutal extremist policies, and it will continue to face further isolation and international confrontation for its genocidal approach.”

On the Palestinian cause, he noted: “Decades have passed, yet the steadfast Palestinian people remain firmly rooted on their land. Their patience does not waver, for they are people of rightful ownership—and that right cannot be lost. Every Jordanian stands with this resilient people. We record our heroism quietly, for it is our duty.”

He added: “Every doctor and nurse working under constant bombardment in our field hospitals in Gaza to save a child’s life… every truck driver who crosses the bridge under settler attacks to deliver aid to the people of Gaza… every Air Force pilot who flies over Gaza to drop aid after all crossings were closed off—these are the sons of the nation who deserve every respect and appreciation. These are our heroes, whom we must honor and take pride in every day, as His Majesty always emphasizes.”

He continued: “In the regional scene and in this volatile area, Jordan always stands out as an ambitious, optimistic country, confident in its future, strong with its wise leadership, cohesive society, solid institutions, and united national fabric.”

He concluded: “Jordan’s strength is the foundation of our national resilience. Nothing is above that, and we will not allow anything to undermine it.”
