Global Oil Prices Rise
Global oil prices continued to post gains on Monday after rising by more than 2% in the previous session, as tensions between the United States and Iran kept investors on edge, even after the main export pipeline in Kazakhstan fully resumed operations.اضافة اعلان

Brent crude futures rose by 12 cents, or 0.18%, to $66 per barrel by 01:27 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained 14 cents, or 0.23%, to $61.21 per barrel.

Both benchmarks recorded weekly gains of 2.7%, closing on Friday at their highest levels since January 14. A U.S. military aircraft carrier strike group and other assets are expected to arrive in the Middle East in the coming days.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the United States has a “fleet” heading toward Iran, but he hopes he will not have to use it, urging Tehran not to kill protesters or restart its nuclear program.

On Friday, a senior Iranian official said that Iran would treat any attack as “a full-scale war against us.”
