Garment exports maintained their position at the top of Jordan’s national exports during the first seven months of this year, reaching nearly 1 billion dinars, marking a 4.4 percent increase compared with the same period last year.

According to foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics and monitored by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), fertilizer exports performed positively by the end of July, reaching 577 million dinars with a growth rate of 9.5 percent. Pharmaceutical preparations rose to 352 million dinars, up by 6.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
Raw phosphate exports reached 317 million dinars by the end of July, registering a 6 percent increase, while raw potash recorded the highest growth rate among major commodities at 9.6 percent, amounting to 307 million dinars compared to the same period of the previous year.
On the other hand, jewelry exports declined by 8.2 percent, totaling 394 million dinars compared to the same period last year, while exports under the “other materials” category rose significantly to 2.321 billion dinars, marking a 14.2 percent increase.
