Capital expenditures during the first seven months of the current year reached approximately JD 632 million, marking a significant increase of over JD 87 million compared to the same period last year. This rise follows directives from Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan to accelerate capital spending by approving the general budget law early in the year.

The increase in capital spending covered several key projects, including the completion of Princess Basma Hospital, the construction of multiple schools across all governorates, the commencement of preliminary works for the National Carrier Project, and the completion of several roads such as Muqair–Azraq, Mafraq–Zarqa, and the Desert Highway. It also included infrastructure improvements at the Jaber Border Crossing and the initiation of natural gas connections to industrial complexes.
Additionally, work began on a half-Olympic swimming pool in Prince Mohammad City, Zarqa, and the development of tourist facilities in Karak, including the maintenance of Karak Castle and Karak Gate. The government also completed the digitization of 80% of public services.
