Senator Khalil Haj Tawfiq, Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, met with Andrea Kučerová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Kingdom, to discuss ways to strengthen economic, trade, and investment relations between Jordan and the Czech Republic, and to expand areas of cooperation between the business communities of both nations.

According to a statement issued by the chamber today, Saturday, Haj Tawfiq emphasized during the meeting held at the chamber's headquarters—in the presence of board member Falah Al-Sghair—the importance of building upon the distinguished relations linking the two friendly countries, and enhancing partnerships between the Jordanian and Czech private sectors across various economic domains.
He underscored the significance of the Czech private sector's participation in the Jordan-EU Investment Conference, scheduled to take place before the end of this year, highlighting it as an important platform to showcase the investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom and to bolster networking between European investors and companies and their Jordanian counterparts.
He explained that Jordan offers a stable business environment and promising opportunities in numerous vital sectors, making it a suitable regional hub for investment, business, and re-exporting to regional markets.
Haj Tawfiq also noted that work is currently underway to organize a Jordanian-Czech Business Forum this summer, aimed at fostering communication between the two business communities, exploring cooperation and investment opportunities, and building partnerships across various economic sectors.
For her part, Ambassador Kučerová reaffirmed her country's keenness to enhance economic and investment cooperation with Jordan, and to encourage Czech companies to explore the opportunities available in the Jordanian market while benefiting from the advantages the Kingdom provides to investors.
During the meeting, she highlighted the participation of Czech companies in the Renewable Energy and Solar Energy Exhibition (SONEX 2026), which will be held in Amman from June 15 to 18, featuring wide participation from local and international companies specialized in energy, sustainability, and modern industrial solutions.
Ambassador Kučerová also invited Jordanian companies to visit the Czech pavilion at SONEX 2026, which will host several specialized Czech firms. She emphasized that the exhibition provides an important opportunity for direct networking between Jordanian and Czech companies, exploring cooperation, investment, and technology transfer in the fields of renewable energy, sustainability, and advanced industrial solutions.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed the arrangements for the Jordanian-Czech bilateral meetings to be held at the Amman Chamber of Commerce headquarters on Wednesday, June 17, with the participation of a number of Czech companies specialized in the renewable energy sector, sustainability, energy management solutions, and smart automation, with the goal of exploring cooperation and partnership opportunities with Jordanian firms operating in these fields.
Both sides stressed the importance of these meetings in enhancing direct communication between business owners and companies in both countries, exploring joint cooperation and investment opportunities, and building economic partnerships that contribute to increasing the volume of trade exchange and transferring expertise and technology between Jordan and the Czech Republic.
