Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Monday, "We forcefully defend the rights of our people."
Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran will not back down in the face of any threats.

He added: "We have neither abandoned the military field nor left the negotiation table."
Pezeshkian continued, stating that "diplomacy and defense are the two main elements of national power."
Meanwhile, the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters announced at noon today the cessation of military operations against the Israeli occupation.
It stressed that if the attacks continue, especially in southern Lebanon, "our response will be even more powerful."
Earlier, the Israel Hayom newspaper quoted sources stating that "Israel" and the United States had conveyed a message to Iran that there would be no additional attacks if Iran did not open fire again.
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that "Israel" and Iran are looking to reach an immediate ceasefire.
Trump added, in a post on his "Truth Social" platform, that final negotiations regarding "peace" are underway, but they could be affected by what he described as "ignorance or stupidity."
He stressed that the blockade will remain in place and at full strength until a "final agreement" is reached, expressing his belief that things will move quickly.
In an earlier post, Trump called on Israel and Iran to "cease fire immediately."
