During the afternoon, rainfall is occasionally expected to extend to limited parts of the eastern central regions. Light showers may also occur in northern Jordan during the evening. Winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly and moderate in speed, becoming occasionally active before shifting to northwesterly winds in the evening.

Highs and lows in eastern Amman will range between 29°C and 16°C, compared with 27°C and 14°C in western Amman, 26°C and 14°C in the northern highlands, 25°C and 12°C in the Sharah Mountains, 30°C and 17°C in the Badia, and 29°C and 16°C in the plains.

Temperatures will range between 34°C and 20°C in the northern Jordan Valley, 35°C and 23°C in the southern Jordan Valley, 34°C and 22°C at the Dead Sea, and 33°C and 21°C in Aqaba.

The Meteorological Department warned of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas in southern and eastern Jordan, as well as thunderstorms and hail. It also warned of reduced horizontal visibility at times due to dust, particularly in the Badia, and slippery roads in areas receiving rainfall.

The department urged citizens to stay away from valleys and areas prone to flash floods and not to risk crossing roads where water is flowing. It also advised avoiding exposed areas during thunderstorms and exercising caution while driving.

The impact of the unstable weather system is expected to weaken on Tuesday, with temperatures falling slightly and generally moderate autumn conditions prevailing, accompanied by some clouds. Fog may form during the early morning hours over high mountain elevations.

On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, with moderate autumn weather continuing. There will remain a limited chance of scattered showers during the evening in parts of the northeastern Badia, occasionally accompanied by thunder, while winds may become active and raise dust in Badia areas.

On Thursday, temperatures are expected to fall slightly, becoming a little below their seasonal averages. The weather will be pleasantly cool in the mountainous areas and moderate elsewhere, while nighttime conditions will become relatively cold across most of the Kingdom, remaining mild in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba.

The Meteorological Department stressed that unstable weather systems affecting Jordan during autumn can vary significantly in rainfall intensity and geographical distribution. Some limited areas may experience heavy thunderstorms over short periods, while rainfall may be light or absent altogether in other areas. The department therefore urged the public to follow weather updates closely and not underestimate the risks posed by sudden flash floods.
