US pledges $40 million to SSC Estidama program

AMMAN — The US has pledged $40 million worth of aid to the Social Security Corporation’s (SSC) private sector sustainability program (Estidama), in an effort to preserve the labor market’s stability, help the Kingdom’s private sector counter the economic repercussions of COVID-19, and assist workers in sectors that have incurred the most losses following the onset of the pandemic.اضافة اعلان

In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, USAID Mission Director Sherry Carlin said during the signing of the aid agreement on Thursday that her country’s administration supports the Estidama Program’s efforts in helping companies retain their employees.

“Providing financial resources to households and companies during the COVID-19 pandemic is highly important to Jordan’s economic stability at the moment and the rejuvenation of its economy in the future,” Carlin explained
