Tourism Revenues Decline by 5.3% During the First Half of the Current Year

Preliminary data from the Central Bank of Jordan showed a 7.0% increase in tourism revenues during June 2026, reaching $685.0 million, alongside a 5.3% decline in tourism revenues during the first half of 2026, totaling $3.5 billion.اضافة اعلان

The Central Bank stated in a press release that during the first half of 2026, tourism revenues decreased from expatriate Jordanians by 12.1%, American nationals by 25.6%, European nationals by 28.2%, Asian nationals by 3.5%, and other nationalities by 40.6%. Meanwhile, the data showed a 6.5% increase in tourism revenues from Arab visitors.

The data also revealed a 6.7% drop in outbound tourism expenditure by Jordanians and residents during June 2026, reaching $182.4 million. During the first half of 2026, outbound tourism expenditure decreased by 9.4%, totaling $906.1 million.
