The Financial and Economic Committee in the Senate, headed by Senator Dr. Rajai Muasher, discussed on Wednesday the strategies and plans of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

This came during two separate sessions: a morning meeting with the head of the Amman Committee, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, and an evening meeting with Minister of Digital Economy, Eng. Sami Smirat.
Muasher stated that the meeting was held to review the main pillars of GAM’s strategy, discuss its key economic and social roles, and learn about its plans and projects aimed at developing the city of Amman.
For his part, Al-Shawarbeh delivered a presentation highlighting the main elements of GAM’s strategy, explaining details of the administrative modernization and institutional development plan.
He noted that the adopted policies and projects aim to regulate and develop Amman into a smart and environmentally friendly city.
In the other session, Muasher explained that the meeting sought to discuss the strategy and plans of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, review its central role in government service digitization, and examine its projects and achievements under the targets of the Economic Modernization Vision.
Smirat delivered a presentation outlining the key components of the ministry’s strategy, highlighting this year’s achievements in digitizing government services.
He also reviewed training plans, projects, and support mechanisms for initiatives under the targets of the Economic Modernization Vision and the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap.
