The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that personnel from the Anti-Narcotics Department, as part of their daily efforts to pursue all cases of drug trafficking, promotion, and smuggling, handled 14 major cases over the past few days, most notably the arrest of a regional drug-smuggling gang.

He explained that a special investigation team from the Anti-Narcotics Department followed up on information indicating cooperation between individuals inside the Kingdom and a regional drug-smuggling network. The investigation led to identifying three foreign nationals who entered the Kingdom and delivered large quantities of hashish to two individuals inside the country.
The spokesperson added that all suspects’ locations were identified, and the three foreign nationals were arrested inside their vehicle. The other two suspects were raided at their location in the south of the Kingdom, arrested, and found in possession of 270 slabs of hashish and an automatic firearm.
The department also dealt with 13 other major cases, during which 22 dealers and promoters were arrested, including two classified as high-risk individuals. The most notable of these took place in Ramtha District, where one of the most dangerous drug dealers in the northern region—classified as high-risk—was raided and arrested after fierce resistance. Seven slabs of hashish and half a kilogram of crystal meth were seized. Another suspicious individual was arrested with him; a search of his residence uncovered seven slabs of hashish and 1,000 narcotic pills.
In Ruweished District, a high-risk individual was tracked, raided, and arrested, with 8,000 narcotic pills seized. In the central Badia, a drug dealer was arrested with 18,000 narcotic pills in his possession. In Ma’an Governorate, nine slabs of hashish were seized from a dealer.
In another case in Madaba Governorate, after gathering information about five individuals selling cocaine, their identities and locations were determined, they were raided and arrested, and 1 kilogram of cocaine was seized. Twelve slabs of hashish were seized south of the capital following the raid of a dealer there. Additionally, three drug dealers were raided east of the capital, with 14,000 narcotic pills seized, and 24 slabs of hashish were seized north of the capital from a dealer after his arrest.
In a separate case east of the capital, a drug dealer was raided and found in possession of 52 slabs of hashish. In another case south of the capital, 5,000 narcotic pills were seized from a dealer. In the central Badia, an individual was raided after confirming possession of narcotics, and 17 slabs of hashish were seized. In Zarqa Governorate, 5,000 narcotic pills were seized from an individual. In the final case, information was received about three individuals transporting narcotics from Aqaba toward the capital; they were tracked, stopped, arrested, and six slabs of hashish were found inside the vehicle.
