Amman – Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Momani emphasized the importance of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and modern technology into media operations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and content quality, while stressing that these tools must remain under the supervision of professional journalists.

Momani said technological advancements and AI offer significant opportunities to develop the media sector.
However, he cautioned that their use must take into account potential risks and challenges to ensure they contribute positively to journalistic standards.
He noted that investing in AI and modern technologies benefits both government and media institutions by streamlining workflows, saving time, and improving the accuracy and quality of content.
Momani stressed that technology, regardless of how advanced it becomes, cannot replace the essential role of professional journalists, who remain responsible for editorial decisions, building public trust, and presenting news stories in their proper context.
He explained that journalism goes beyond reporting information to interpreting events, explaining their causes and implications, and providing historical context that helps audiences develop a comprehensive understanding of the news.
Momani reaffirmed that the human element will remain central to journalism, adding that AI and digital media technologies can strengthen media institutions and enhance their performance, provided they are used within a professional framework that safeguards credibility, public trust, and content quality.
