AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture Khalid Hunifat on Monday said that the ministry is working to find a solution to Jordan’s olive oil surplus, adding that oil has accumulated in warehouses.اضافة اعلان

The comments were made during a meeting with the mill owners syndicate and the Jordan Olive Production Export Association, where Hunifat discussed a number of key challenges in the olive sector, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

According to Hunifat, the solutions will include announcing a permanent exhibition of products in coordination with the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), studying ways to increase exports, in addition to protecting local products and focusing on quality.

Hunifat added that Jordan must participate in global exhibitions to better market Jordanian products.
