The Ministry of Social Development released its achievements report for December 2025, highlighting key services provided during the month.
According to a press statement from the Ministry’s Directorate of Communication and Media:

Health and Social Services: The ministry received 7,991 applications for health insurance cards, 149 applications for medical expense exemptions, 130 cases for inheritance settlement services, and 2,056 applications for work permit exemptions.
Childcare and Protection:
35 children were admitted to residential care homes, while 39 children exited these facilities.
6 children were placed with alternative families.
5 new daycare centers were licensed.
Services for women and children through social service offices – Family and Juvenile Protection Department served 197 cases.
Juvenile rehabilitation centers benefited 268 youths, including 96 who received vocational rehabilitation programs.
62 working children received psychosocial support and case management interventions.
Social services in correctional and rehabilitation centers assisted 792 beneficiaries.
Associations Oversight:
A cumulative total of 6,037 associations are registered under the current associations law.
27 new associations were registered, 330 requested amendments to their bylaws, 15 were dissolved, 5 provisional boards completed their duties, 11 provisional boards remain active, 14 liquidation committees concluded their work, and 51 associations received official warnings.
Anti-Begging Efforts: The ministry conducted 524 anti-begging campaigns, during which 671 beggars were apprehended.
National Aid Fund:
50,044 families benefited from the monthly financial assistance program.
19,887 families received support through the Unified Cash Assistance Program.
517 families participated in training programs.
Response rate to inquiries received by the fund reached 100%.
