The maintenance works included repairs to the most damaged parts along a 3-kilometer stretch of the road, starting from the Dlagha security point to Ras Al-Naqab. The works involved milling and repaving the asphalt with a 6-centimeter layer, applying new road markings, and installing 13 kilometers of reflective road studs to improve night visibility and ensure smoother traffic flow.

The Ministry affirmed that these efforts come within the framework of its ongoing commitment to preserving the Kingdom’s main road network, which serves as a vital artery for transportation between governorates and a key enabler of commercial and economic activity in the south. The Royal Al-Raseef Road is considered one of the most important routes connecting northern and southern Jordan, serving numerous residential communities and tourist destinations.

Through its periodic maintenance programs, the Ministry seeks to ensure the highest levels of road safety for users, extend the lifespan of infrastructure, and reduce future repair costs. These efforts align with the Ministry’s role in promoting local development by facilitating access to markets and public services, encouraging tourism activity, improving transport efficiency, and ultimately contributing positively to the national economy and citizens’ quality of life.
