The Ministry of Labor confirmed that it remains committed to policies regulating and controlling the labor market, despite attempts by those benefiting from chaos to resist these measures by spreading misleading news and information about its operations.

In a statement released on Thursday, the ministry noted that information circulating on some social media accounts regarding the termination of several employees and the appointment of others is inaccurate.

The ministry explained that the employees referred to had been previously hired on project-based contracts, and their services were concluded at the beginning of 2024. It added that the termination of project-based employees is governed by two criteria: either the completion of the project or the exhaustion of its financial allocations, whichever comes first, noting that the project in question has already been closed.

Regarding the procurement of services, the ministry clarified that it temporarily contracted a group of individuals to cover specific positions for a limited duration. It emphasized that these positions were publicly announced for competitive hiring in coordination with the Civil Service and Public Administration Bureau, with examinations and personal interviews conducted in accordance with the Public Sector Human Resources Regulation No. 33 of 2024, its amendments, and the instructions issued under it.

The ministry also reiterated that any appointments or filling of vacant positions within its departments are handled strictly in accordance with the Public Sector Human Resources Regulation.
