Minister of Labor Dr. Khaled Al-Bakkaar conducted a field visit to Ma’an Governorate, where he toured the productive branch located in Wadi Aniza, Al-Husseiniya District.
During the visit to the branch operated by Al-Walaa Catering Services Company, Al-Bakkaar emphasized the importance of the Productive Branches Initiative in employing Jordanians. He noted that it is one of the Royal Initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Labor across rural and remote areas in all governorates of the Kingdom.
The minister explained that the establishment of 33 productive units and branches, with additional ones set to open next year, reflects efforts to localize development and create job opportunities for Jordanians near their places of residence. This approach helps save young men and women time and effort, sparing them the need to relocate to urban centers for work.
Al-Bakkaar toured the factory, which has a capacity to employ up to 150 workers, and encouraged the youth employed there to share their experiences with their peers and motivate them to pursue work opportunities and acquire skills that will help them remain active participants in the labor market.
He further noted that investors interested in establishing productive branches receive both financial and capital support to enable them to launch their projects and employ Jordanians across the governorates.
The minister also listened to a briefing from Adnan Al-Suyouf, Human Resources Director at Al-Walaa Catering Services Company, about the operation of the branch, which specializes in food production, spans an area of 3,650 square meters, and provides employment opportunities for local residents of the region.
