During a bilateral meeting followed by an expanded session, His Majesty emphasized the deep friendship between Jordan and Albania and the commitment to broadening cooperation across various fields, particularly economic and defense-related areas.

The King underscored the importance of joint efforts to enhance interfaith dialogue — a key focus of a new round of the “Aqaba Meetings,” which Jordan will host on Tuesday in partnership with Albania. His Majesty expressed appreciation for Albania’s role in co-hosting this round.

The discussions, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, the King’s Chief Adviser for Religious and Cultural Affairs and His Majesty’s personal envoy, also covered key regional developments. His Majesty stressed the need for intensified international efforts to achieve regional stability and uphold the sovereignty of states.

Reaffirming that the two-state solution is the only path to a just and comprehensive peace, the King emphasized the necessity of ensuring the Palestinian people obtain their full legitimate rights.

Regarding Gaza, His Majesty highlighted the importance of adhering to the multi-stage agreement to end the war and ensuring uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid.

The King also warned against the dangers of continued escalation in the West Bank and the ongoing violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Director of His Majesty’s Office Alaa Al-Bataineh, Albania’s Ambassador to Jordan Sami Shiba, and the accompanying delegation.
