Work procedures starting to kick off on August 1 allow the Jordanian workers to access their work daily through the Wadi Araba border post. Residency requirements have been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The decision follows arrangements between the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Population and Immigration Authority, for the return of Jordanian workers authorized to work in the city of Eilat.
