Jordan to set up a seed bank

AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture Khaled Al-Hneifat said that JD103 million in agricultural loans was provided between July 2021 and July 2022 — JD50 million interest-free — and that three agreements were signed to establish three factories in the Jordan Valley region, according to Khaberni.اضافة اعلان

Within the next two weeks, he said, the ministry and the Hashemite University will officially announce the establishment of a seed bank, funded by the university.

The ministry has carried out 13 out of 15 initiatives promised for the current year, and the remaining two will be implemented within the set timeframe, the minister added.
