Jordan reports 6 new deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded six COVID-19 deaths in the week of September 17 thru September 23, bringing the total death toll in the Kingdom to 14,122 since the outbreak of the fatal virus in the spring of 2020, the Ministry of Health said in a report on Sunday.اضافة اعلان

It said in the specified week, 1,965 new cases of COVID-19 infections were reported. Of the total, there are 1,868 active COVID-19 cases.

The report said 68 patients were admitted to hospital in the designated week, while 79 others, who were hospitalized previously, were discharged upon recovery.

A total of 13,415 PCR tests were conducted in one week, with positive results making up 14.65 percent.
