Jordan records 1,180 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Wednesday reached 19, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 1,180 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 9,314 and the caseload to 727,612.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Wednesday’s tally, the ministry said:

415 in Amman
205 in Irbid
161 in Zarqa
85 in Mafraq
71 in Balqa
55 in Maan
54 in Karak
50 in Ajloun
33 in Jerash
25 in Madaba
14 in Aqaba
12 in Tafileh

The ministry added in a statement that some 70 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 80 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 10,689, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 3.61 percent of the 32,690 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
