Jordan records 1,174 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Tuesday reached 19, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 1,174 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 9,259 and the caseload to 726,432.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Tuesday’s tally, the ministry said:

487 in Amman
147 in Irbid
131 in Zarqa
96 in Maan
46 in Ajloun
64 in Balqa
64 in Mafraq
58 in Karak
19 in Aqaba
29 in Jerash
14 in Tafileh
19 in Madaba

The ministry added in a statement that some 1,220 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 95 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 10,729, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 3.94 percent of the 29,802 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
