The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) announced on Sunday the launch of a pilot phase for 35 electronic services, developed in coordination with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship ahead of a full rollout, according to a Petra statement.اضافة اعلان

JFDA Director General Dr. Rana Obeidat said the pilot launch forms part of the agency's efforts to develop its services and transition to integrated digital delivery. She said the initiative was intended to simplify procedures, accelerate processes, support the business environment in the food, pharmaceutical and medical sectors, and drive economic growth through more efficient service delivery.

The 35 services are distributed across four directorates: nine for Food Directorate service recipients; eight for the Regional Directorates, to be piloted initially at the Amman branch; 14 for the Drug Directorate; and two for the Medical Devices, Supplies and Cosmetics Directorate. Two additional general services are also included.

The JFDA said the pilot phase allows service recipients to use the new services and contribute practical feedback to help refine and improve them before the final launch.

The agency called on service recipients to create an electronic account for their establishment via the registration link on its website. It noted that users of Food Directorate services must also register their food establishment using the dedicated food establishment registration service. A user manual and explanatory videos are available through the same portal.

The JFDA warned that applicable fees for each service must be paid within 72 hours of submitting a request or the application will be cancelled. Recipients may send feedback and enquiries about the pilot services by email to the agency's electronic services unit or by contacting the Information Technology unit directly.
