Jordan falls three placesAccording to the recently released report, carried by Khaberni, Jordan fell from seventh place in 2022 to 10th place in 2023 in the index of the safest and most prosperous Arab countries, which included 19 Arab countries.

Economic and social challengesThe report attributed this decline to various factors related to the economic and social situation. According to the report, inflation, unemployment, public debt, and budget deficit have all increased, which has been exacerbated by the high cost of energy imports.

This has negatively affected the functional, social, and economic security of citizens, as well as most of the peoples of the Middle East, except for the Gulf region.

Additionally, the report highlights that Jordan is experiencing a severe debt crisis with risks of an economic downturn, unstable price trends, as well as labor and living crises, along with limited natural resource crises.
