The ministry added that the attack is a blatant breach of both international humanitarian law and international law, as well as the 1949 Geneva Convention relative on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah, the Ministry's official spokesperson, reiterated the Kingdom's unequivocal rejection and strong condemnation of Israel's ongoing aggression on Gaza, its systematic targeting of civilians and civilian-related objects in the Strip, its destruction of essential facilities that provide the Gazans with basic services, and its continued use of siege and hunger as tools to force Palestinians to flee their homes.

He issued a warning about the ramifications for regional security and stability of Israel's continuous violations in Gaza and the West Bank.

In order to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the region, Ambassador Al-Qudah urged the international community to fulfill its moral and legal obligations, force Israel to immediately stop its aggression against Gaza, open the crossings used to deliver humanitarian aid to the Strip, and respect the Palestinian people's legitimate right to establish their own independent, sovereign state on pre-1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.
