The Director of Education in Jerash Governorate, Wael Abu Azzam, said on Tuesday that the directorate is implementing school construction projects and maintenance works across the governorate in preparation for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year.اضافة اعلان

He explained that the Al-Farwan Basic Mixed School project is being implemented on an area of 2,147 square meters, consisting of 10 classrooms over two floors, in addition to administrative rooms and activity halls, with a total cost of 1.369 million dinars.

Abu Azzam added that the directorate is also carrying out the construction of Al-Mastaba School, which includes 20 classrooms, administrative rooms, an activity room, and outdoor yards, at a cost of 1.6 million dinars.

He further noted that work is underway on the Ali bin Abi Talib Basic School for Boys project, which includes 12 classrooms, administrative rooms, laboratories, public facilities, and playgrounds, at a cost of 650,000 dinars.

Abu Azzam stated that the schools are expected to be completed and handed over خلال the current year to receive students in the 2026–2027 academic year. He added that the directorate oversees 185 public schools, including 35 rented schools, with a total of 55,000 enrolled students.

He also indicated that maintenance work has covered 69 public schools, including roof insulation, painting, moisture treatment, maintenance of doors, windows, sanitary facilities, and school yards, in addition to the rehabilitation and reinforcement of Jerash Secondary School for Boys and the establishment and maintenance of computer laboratories.
