AMMAN — The Our Lady of Peace Center on Wednesday received rehabilitation equipment as part of a Japanese scheme called Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects (GGP), according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The handover ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Japan to Jordan, Shimazaki Kaoru, and Bishop Jamal Khader, Patriarchal Vicar for Latins in Jordan.

The $89,917 grant assistance aims at improving the center’s rehabilitation services provided to people with disabilities (PWDs), especially those in great need, through the provision of new and specialized rehabilitation equipment, which is crucial to improving their health, well-being, pain management, body motion, and strength.

In the speech delivered during the handover ceremony, Ambassador Shimazaki expressed his gratitude to Our Lady of Peace Center’s great contribution to society.

“We sincerely hope that this project will contribute to improving their health and promoting their future social participation, and eventually, the realization of a society where no one will be left behind,” Shimazaki concluded. اضافة اعلان
