Minister of Interior Mazen Al-Faraya met with Jean-Pierre Lacroix, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, at his office on Monday.

The meeting addressed the general situation in the region and ways to strengthen cooperation with the United Nations in areas of mutual interest.
The two sides also reviewed the role of Jordan’s Public Security Directorate in peacekeeping operations, reinforcing Jordan’s international standing and highlighting the capabilities of its police personnel.
Both sides stressed the need to intensify efforts to combat crime, strengthen anti-narcotics measures, and continue coordination and the exchange of expertise in relevant fields.
