Huneiti directed to change the rules of engagement in the armed forces and to pursue all elements that seek to tamper with national security.

Two Jordanian officers were killed Sunday in clashes with armed smugglers who attempted to cross into Jordan from Syria.

Huneiti  told fellow soldiers Monday that the General Command attaches the highest priority to the border guards in supporting and providing them with special forces and rapid reaction forces supported by aircraft from the Royal Air Force, and overcoming all logistical struggles within the areas of responsibility.

He added that this has played a great role in thwarting infiltration and smuggling in all its forms, and reducing the entry of narcotics and prohibited substances into Jordanian territory within the framework of the security plan implemented by the General Command to maintain the security and stability of the borders of the Kingdom.
