During a legislative session held on Monday, attended by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and members of the government, Al-Qadi strongly condemned the Iranian missile attacks that targeted the Kingdom and Arabian Gulf states. He emphasized that these attacks constitute a "grave assault on state sovereignty, a flagrant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, and threaten to expand the circle of conflict in the region."
Al-Qadi noted that amid the ongoing military confrontations between the United States, Israel, and Iran, Jordan rejects any infringement on its sovereignty and will not allow itself to become a "battleground for any conflict." He added: "Prior to the outbreak of military hostilities, Jordan spared no effort in seeking peaceful solutions to the Iranian file, supporting all paths of dialogue and settlement. Despite this, the Iranian side encroached upon our territory in an unacceptable behavior, which was heroically and bravely repelled by the personnel of the Jordan Armed Forces and the Royal Jordanian Air Force."
The Speaker reaffirmed the House's support for His Majesty, stating clearly that "Jordan will not be a party to any regional escalation, and our sovereignty is a red line."
He also condemned the attacks on sisterly Arabian Gulf states, asserting that "the security of the Gulf is inseparable from the security of Jordan," and voiced full support for the measures taken by these nations to protect their homelands.
Furthermore, Al-Qadi paid tribute to the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, and extended his heartiest congratulations to His Majesty on the occasion of the Arabization of the Army Command. He described it as a "brave and historic decision taken by the late King Hussein bin Talal, which consecrated the meaning of sovereignty and solidified independent decision-making."
The House of Representatives voted unanimously to adopt Al-Qadi’s speech as an official statement on behalf of the House.
