This comes as a replacement for students who declined the loans, after the official deadline—last Tuesday—for completing the required procedures and submitting documents for those previously nominated for internal scholarships and loans for the 2025–2026 academic year had expired.

Minister Mahafzah added that the ministry will redistribute these available loans to districts where not all applicants were covered by scholarships and loans. He also indicated that the ministry is expected to announce the names of the selected students خلال هذا الأسبوع, and that SMS notifications will be sent to their registered mobile numbers.

It is worth noting that including this additional number of students will raise the total number of nominees for internal scholarships and loans for the current academic year (2025–2026) from 60,341 to 64,841 students. It will also increase the percentage of students receiving scholarships and loans from 78% to 84% of the total number of eligible applicants.
