Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi held talks on Wednesday with Abdisalam Abdi Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, on ways to enhance bilateral relations as well as cooperation within regional and international multilateral organizations, in addition to developments in the region.

During a phone call with his Somali counterpart, Safadi reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia and its territorial integrity. He also reiterated Jordan’s full rejection of the declaration of mutual recognition between Israel and the Somaliland region, its support for Somalia’s legitimate state institutions, and its commitment to preserving the stability of Somalia and its brotherly people.
The two ministers also discussed the repercussions of the ongoing regional escalation and efforts aimed at restoring security and stability.
