The department stated that its active patrols confiscated the counterfeit tobacco, which failed to meet health and regulatory standards and bore forged brand labels, posing a serious threat to public health.
The Customs Department emphasized that this seizure is part of its ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and commercial fraud, and to protect consumers from harmful substances.
Authorities urged citizens to cooperate by reporting similar practices that threaten public safety through the toll-free number 105.
