Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Wednesday congratulated the Jordanian national football team on their 2–1 victory over the United Arab Emirates in their opening group-stage match of the Arab Cup, held earlier in the day in Doha.

On Instagram, the Crown Prince wrote: “A strong and successful start — congratulations to Jordan,” accompanying the post with a photo of national team striker Yazan Al-Naimat.
Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan also congratulated the team on X, writing: “We congratulate our Nashama on their victory at the start of their Arab Cup journey, and we look forward to performances that bring us even more pride in the upcoming matches.”
Government Communications Minister and official spokesperson Mohammed Al-Momani likewise praised the team on X: “A remarkable start by our Nashama with their victory over our brothers, the UAE national team, in the first round of the 2025 Arab Cup.”
Al-Momani added that the win reflects the team's presence, confidence, and strong spirit amid a vibrant Arab sporting gathering filled with scenes of joy, pride, and unity.
