The raid resulted in the seizure of approximately 100 large metal barrels containing the adulterated oil. The confiscated items were secured, and the press was closed pending further investigations.
According to a security source, several workers at the facility were arrested and referred to the competent authorities. Laboratory tests are expected to determine the nature of the substances used in the adulteration in the coming hours.
The source emphasized that this campaign is part of the intensive efforts by the Public Security Directorate to protect consumers and ensure the safety of food products in the market, especially during the olive pressing season.
