The bylaws follow a Royal decree which includes appointing a Minister of Investment, defining the ministry’s functions and powers, and sets an organizational structure that regulates its work, contact, and coordination channels among its units.

In a press statement, the premier said, following the issuance of the Royal decree approving the latest ministerial reshuffle, that the government had established the Ministry of Investment to process all investment affairs, deal with issues related to local, Arab, and foreign investors, and set policies that stimulate investment and enhance the competitiveness of Jordan’s leading economic sectors.

The premier also noted the new ministry would bring under its umbrella all investment bodies in place.

The Council of Ministers also approved the amended National Fund for Sport and Youth Movement Support Bylaw 2021, which would activate the fund’s role to achieve its goals by granting its management committee the powers to approve criteria to support Jordanian youth and sports entities.
