In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry emphasized the importance of ensuring that the terms of the contract are clear at the time of signing, including trip costs and services provided—particularly accommodation and transportation. It noted the Ministry’s commitment, through the Hajj and Umrah Directorate, to the safety of pilgrims and to ensuring that Umrah rituals are performed in a safe and facilitated environment, and to dealing only with companies and offices accredited by the Ministry.
The Ministry also stressed the need for Umrah pilgrims to adhere to health instructions issued by the official authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the use of face masks in crowded areas during the performance of Umrah rituals, in order to safeguard public health and safety. It added that compliance with these guidelines and procedures contributes to performing Umrah with ease and peace of mind, and enhances the safety of all throughout the spiritual journey.
