Abu Al-Samen emphasized that the timely completion of projects within the contractual periods strengthens public trust in the institution’s performance. He noted that it also saves time and effort for planning the next year's projects and allows ample time for effective planning, ultimately improving work quality and speeding up service delivery to citizens.
Recently, the Aqaba Directorate finalized several key projects, including:
The expansion and maintenance of the Disi–Twesi Road,
The expansion of the Disi entrance,
The maintenance of the Aqaba entrance,
As well as maintenance of the main Wadi Araba Road and the Qreiqra Road.
Since mid-2023, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing has been implementing a strategic plan to approve, tender, and complete decentralization council projects before the end of each fiscal year. This ensures that governorate councils benefit from their allocated budgets and prevents the return of unused funds to the state treasury — a situation that in past years contributed to accumulating debts on the councils.
