The Amman Field Hospital received its first patient in its emergency and intensive care units on Monday, marking the operational launch of both departments under the Ministry of Health's plan to reactivate the hospital and bolster the readiness of the public healthcare system.

According to a press statement by the Ministry of Health, the opening of the emergency and intensive care departments complements steps taken by the ministry to operationalize the Amman Field Hospital. This initiative aims to support Prince Hamzah Hospital, expand capacity, improve emergency response times, and elevate the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the hospital's activation is progressing according to the approved plan, ensuring the expansion of healthcare delivery, maximizing performance efficiency, and strengthening the public health sector's capacity to meet citizens' needs.
The Amman Field Hospital features 70 beds in the emergency department, 44 intensive care beds, and 40 dialysis beds.
