Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Majdi Mohammad Al-Harasais received congratulations Thursday at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army following the issuance of the Royal Decree appointing him to the position.
Senior officers from the armed forces and security agencies, along with a number of civilian officials and community leaders, attended to offer their congratulations and best wishes.
The well-wishers expressed their appreciation for the Royal confidence placed in Maj. Gen. Al-Harasais, wishing him success in carrying out his duties and responsibilities and continuing the development and modernization of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, while enhancing its readiness and capabilities to fulfill its role in protecting the country and safeguarding its security and stability under the wise Hashemite leadership.
The Royal Decree appointing Maj. Gen. Majdi Mohammad Al-Harasais Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was issued Wednesday, effective September 2, 2026.
The General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army had announced that it would receive well-wishers on Thursday and Friday, September 3 and 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the General Command headquarters.
