AMMAN — In a recent operation, officers from the
Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) apprehended seven drug dealers and promoters in
the Russeifa and Awjan areas of Zarqa Governorate.

The arrests were part of a broader
security campaign aimed
at cracking down on drug-related activities, following the receipt of reliable
information regarding illegal substances in these regions, Ad-Dustour daily
reported.
During the operation,
law enforcement officers raided the
suspects' premises, leading to the discovery and confiscation of various
quantities of narcotics in their possession.
The detained individuals are now
undergoing investigations in preparation for their eventual referral to the judiciary.
Simultaneously, a security force conducted a raid in one of
the southern Badia regions based on information received by the AND.
The operation targeted a wanted individual who is considered
dangerous and has accumulated 13 security reports related to
drug-related offenses.
The man was successfully apprehended and is currently under
investigation.
