Australia, S. Korea to face New Zealand and Chinese Taipei in Asia Cup semifinals

AMMAN — Japan took the lead in its group, with a thrilling 67-62 victory over South Korea (36-37 in the first half) during the final round of the women’s basketball Asia Cup level A stage, which is taking place at the Prince Hamzeh Hall till October 3.اضافة اعلان

New Zealand beat India by 109-49 (50-27 in the first half), while China strengthened their lead in thei second group by beating Australia 82-64 (40-39 in the first half).

Japan rose to 6 points to lead group I, followed by South Korea with 5 points, New Zealand with 4 points, and India with 3 points, while China leads group II with 6 points, followed by Australia with 5 points, Chinese Taipei with 4 points, and the Philippines with 3 points.  

According to the rules of the tournament, Australia is now set to play New Zealand in the semi-finals at 1pm, followed by South Korea and Chines Taipei at 4pm, and India and the Philippines playing an important match at 7pm to decide ranks 7 and 8, and find out which team will be relegated to second place.
