In a Jordan Football Association (JFA) press conference held Wednesday to officially introduce the coach, Hamad said: “Training the national team is a great honor. Everyone knows how important this next stage is going to be, but I am confident that if we all work together, we can reach our goals.”

“We need a strong league and constant challenge to restore football in Jordan to properly restore football in Jordan, especially since Jordan is home to major talents that must be fostered,” Hamad added.

JFA Secretary General Samar Nassar congratulated Hamad on his new post, commending his decision to succeed Vital Borkelmans following his resignation.

“Hamad is part of the Jordanian football family. He has signed a two-year contract and his most important milestone will be the Arab Cup and making sure Jordan reaches its target in the Asian qualifiers,” Nassar said at the conference.

Nassar pointed out that Hamad is required to submit comprehensive training plan to the federation’s board of directors within 30 days.
